Medical school is a difficult academic endeavor, one that requires intelligence, patience, and drive above all. Being a physician, at its core, means to follow the Hippocratic oath taken by every medical student. However, our convoluted medical system allows millions of people in the U.S. to suffer from lack of medical care or bankruptcy post-treatment. Yet, there are genuinely good doctors who want nothing more than to see their patients well. This is my journey through it all.
